TOUR OF BELFAST

Over several days we toured around Belfast city.

One thing I noticed was the increased construction and the large number of new sculptures.

This fish has pictures of predominate people all over it.

As you can see we took the artwork very seriously.

;-)

We even held up the world which an silver lady was standing on.
.
Don't know if you can see but this is the side with Australia and New Zealand on it.
.
Wonder why I took that?!

We went on a couple of Titanic tours and walked along the river bank.
This is Belfast town hall.
.
Unfortunately, they've erected a 'wheel' on the side.
.
It ruins the building and any pictures of it.

.

The large clock is actually leaning. It reminds me of the leaning tower of Pisa.

.

We even took pictures inside Kath and Jim's wedding chapel for nostalgia.

This was a popular theatre in Belfast.

A modern shopping centre was built in the centre of town. On top was a dome where we could see all the land marks of town.

It also had a motorised blind to keep the sun out of your eyes. Yep, they thought of everything, cause it doesn't get sunny often so the locals aren't used to the yellow disc in the sky.

Your guess is as good as mine.

One day we went on a pub crawl.

Jim took us to all his old haunts and told us stories of his adventures.
