Let It Snow!
This weekend it snowed in London and we took full advantage of it.

Mike and Zachary built a snowman before Mike instructed Zachary in the art of getting me with a snowball.  Zachary took to the instructions and subsequent activity with wild abandon.

One step for Mike, one step for Zachary.

Swings work no matter what the weather.

Wandsworth Common

Just to get out of the house we went for a walk in Wandsworth Common which has a few ponds.

After we fed the birds a few slices of bread, Zachary offered a chunk of ice.  As you can guess it wasn't grabbed.

This time of year they have about an inch of ice.

Of course there is always one!!

Singapore Airport

On our way to London we stopped in Sinapore overnight and stayed in the airport hotel.

There is heaps to do and you could spend days there and not realise you are  in an airport.

Thankfully, we only had a short time so we entertained ourselves with the Butterfuly House (just like the zoos have).

Zachary is waiting for some to land on him.

They even ensure the flowers are presented in the best possible way.

Here is a flower butterfly with real butterflies on it.

It was a pleasant area and lovely to wonder around.  You even think you are somewhere else.
They have designed the airport so it is a pleasure to spend time in.

As it is a tropical country they are very proud of their flowers and often do very large displays.
This one had the Efile Tower. If you look at it from above you can see that a water fountain which feeds the display.

It's Just A Name

There's a promotion on where various names are printed on drink bottles.

We like this one.

Melbourne Zoological Gardens

Granma and Granpa took the grandkids and us to the Zoo.

Everyone was excited despite the heat.

We even had a budding map reader in our mists.
There were lots of places where you could take pictures with plaques or statues.  As you can see we took a few.

There was even a play area for the kids just in case they were sick of the animals.

Mike took Zachary on the large bouncing cushin.

We spent almost all day at the zoo and by the end of the day we were feeling the heat.

Mirboo

We spent a few days up at the house at Mirboo with all the Stringers.

They were lazy mornings in a beautiful setting.
