IT MEANS WHAT?!

We were at a party last year and got chatting to an Australian girl who'd recently arrived.

She'd found a place to live and noticed that they didn't have a vegetable peeler.
Being thrifty (especially due to the shocking conversion rate), and not finding a peeler at her local supermarket, she decided to go to her local £1.00 shop and see what they had.

Delighted that she'd found a peeler (the Australian sort) and that it was at a very reasonable price (£1.00) she instantly bought it.

It was only when she arrived home and began to undo the packaging that she noticed the interesting translation on the back.

Being concerned that she was misreading the text she enlisted her flatmates advice.

She wasn't.

Now we didn't quite believe the storey as we had no evidence. We naturally assumed that this, if true, may be exaggerated. However, it was a good storey.

Quite a bit later, we ran into the same girl at another party. The same topic came up and she vowed to get us a peeler, if there were any left (as you can see she kept her word).

This product was made in China and had a wonderful description on the back. I am amazed that a product was allowed to be commercially produced with such an interesting text.

For me the best quote is the following:

"Please please atter using to ash, clearly wipe to fuck, make it kept to the best dry, whereas, cause easily the rust, germs bread."

Yes, that is correct.

Here are a few more samples of the delightful translation.

There are many more.
