Fireworks

The various villages were having a fireworks competition. This competition envolved varous teams of firework makers/co ordinators from different countries putting on a display (one per night) at a selection of villages on the mountain.
We were lucky as we'd managed to catch the final night of the competition. This was also an awards ceremony.

It started with all the resort's ski instructors skiing down the mountian (no poles) but holding tourches with open flames.







As part of the festival, they gave out free mulled wine. This was fantastic as it was a very cold night.

The only down side to the night was that the clouds were very low so you couldn't see the very high explosions.
