CATARACT GORGE

This gorge is situated in Launceston's South Esk river (http://www.launcestoncataractgorge.com.au/).

We wondered up one side to the Basin where we had coffee at the cafe.

Then we wandered around the gardens.










There were about a dozen peacocks. We tried to take a picture of one displaying but each time we just mistimed it. They are extremely tame and would come straight up to you if you had some food.








We decided to take the chairlift across the gorge to the other side where we wondered back to the hotel.

We came across the a piece of artwork on the way back.
